The Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) initiative by the Malaysian government aims to enhance nationwide broadband access and quality, setting the stage for 5G adoption. Its goals include expanding 4G coverage to 100% of the population, achieving mobile broadband speeds of 100 Mbps, and ensuring affordable, high-quality internet access.

Stealth Solutions Sdn Bhd (SSSB) plays a key role in implementing JENDELA Phase 1 in Sabah, focusing on underserved areas. Since January 2022, SSSB has been the exclusive contractor for constructing 343 telecommunication towers, achieving 69% completion despite geographical challenges. SSSB manages site planning, landlord negotiations, permit acquisition, and tower construction while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

In collaboration with Common Tower Technologies Sdn Bhd, SSSB is also developing a five-year master plan for Sabah’s telecommunications infrastructure. This plan focuses on modernising networks, expanding connectivity through rural broadband and satellite solutions, and improving infrastructure management through digitalisation.

Through these efforts, SSSB is helping to bridge Sabah’s digital divide and build a connected Malaysia, ready for the future of 5G.
